【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversequipmentandtechniquesfordeterminingporosityinnoblemetalcoatings,particularlyelectrodepositsofgold,palladiumandpalladium-nickelalloy(70%to90%palladium)andcladmetalsusedonelectricalcontacts.Thegel-bulkprocedureisnotassensitivetosmallporesandismorecomplexthanporositytestsinvolvinggaseouscorrodants(seeISO14647andISO15721).Italsoinvolvesmorechemicals,preparationandauxiliaryequipment.Thistestisintendedtobeusedforquantitativedescriptionsofporosity(suchasnumberofporesperunitareaorpercontact)onlyonmeasurementareaswherecoatingshaveasufficientlylowporedensitysuchthatthecorrosionsitesarewellseparatedandcanbereadilyresolved.Asageneralguidelinethiscanbeachievedforporedensitiesuptoabout25/cm.OtherporositytestingmethodsareoutlinedinISO10308.Detailedcriticalreviewsofporositytestingarealsoavailable.OtherporositytestmethodsaredescribedinISO12687,ISO14647andISO15721.
