【摘要】:Thepresenceofwaterextractablesinion-exchangeresinscancausefoulingofothermaterialsdownstreamandcontaminationofprocesswater.Thequantityofwaterextractablesissometimesusedasaspecificationtoindicateresinquality,andtypicalvaluesare0.01to0.1%.Itisrecognizedthatthistestmethodmaynotremoveallpotentialsloughageproductsanddoesnotmeasurevolatilecompounds.Moreextensiveextractionandidentificationofcompoundsmaybeneededinspecificcases.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofwatersolubleextractableresiduefromparticulateion-exchangeresinsbasedonelevatedtemperatureextractionandgravimetricdeterminationofresidue.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
